5e Necromancer class

The Necromancer is a full class for D&D 5th edition, designed to fulfil the fantasy of a dark, unholy spellcaster complete with undead minions and debilitating death magic. It contains:

• A resource for animating its own undead instead of using the poorly balanced animate dead spell, plus robust rules for commanding undead and animating undead of different sizes and creature types
• A large variety of modular undead statblocks that range from basic zombies and skeletons to ghosts, ghouls, dead knights, dead wizards, giant reanimated monsters and shambling zombie hordes
• Warlock spellcasting progression instead of full spellcasting, to allow it to cast flashy black magic while leaving enough room in its power budget for the undead and other neat tricks
• Lots of flavorful necromancy features like a non-combat undead servant to serve you and assist your schemes, the ability to choose when you do or don't count as undead, the ability to dominate weak undead enemies, and resistance to poison/necrotic damage
• A handful of new spells that provide necromancer-y options for necrotic blasting, debuffing and utility, including a flavor cantrip called deathly display that gives you a bit more deathly flair
• Five subclasses that focus on different aspects of necromancy or expand your flavor and role: The Horde Raiser for animating more and stronger undead, the Blight Weaver for destroying enemies with unholy death magic, the Life Drinker for manipulating the energies of life and death to heal your undead and your allies, the Arcane Necrologist for necromancers with a background in the arcane arts, enhancing their necromancy with other aspects of wizardry, and the Reaper Blade, a terrifying warrior who swoops in and out of melee with sweeping scythe attacks
